Commitment to the planet

Be Green by Indesmalla arises from the need to promote and commit to the protection of the planet, the circular economy, and the sustainability of all textile industrial processes. All these concerns, combined with innovation and a commitment to environmental protection, have led us to develop a collection of articles made from recycled polyester and polyamide, all certified with the Global Recycled Standard (GRS).

Circular economy and sustainability

Recycled polyester

Our recycled polyester fabrics are made with post-consumer yarn obtained from PET plastic bottles, which are 100% recyclable. From the recovery of these bottles, recycled polyester chips are obtained through their melting, which are used to produce the yarn with which we develop our fabrics. This process with PET bottles allows the plastic to be reused and reduces both energy consumption and oil use.

Recycled polyamide

Our recycled polyamide fabrics are made with 100% sustainable pre-consumer nylon. During the polymer production process, waste is generated, which is selected, recovered, and reprocessed to obtain recycled polymer. From this recycled polymer, fibres are produced again to create our 100% recycled fabrics. This process helps reduce the use of non-renewable energy sources and decreases CO2 emissions, thereby reducing environmental impact.

The use of recycled yarns considerably reduces the consumption of energy resources, thereby helping to minimise the impact of our processes on the environment. It contributes to improving air quality by reducing CO2 emissions and to recycling and reusing plastics and waste to generate new materials.

These production processes and the utilisation of materials at the end of their useful life promote zero-waste production systems by reducing scraps and waste. The use of recycled yarns allows us to be part of a circular economy that helps conserve our planet and its resources.
